Needing privacy and security, this client came to us to thoughtfully design a fence and entry sequence as a part of a larger master plan. Custom fences allow us to thoughtfully consider how the fence moves along the slope of the ground plane, determine the appropriate height to provide privacy and at the same time doesn't overtly read as a compound, and find a thoughtful way to locate the pedestrian gate to indicate how to enter as a guest. We love a raw steel that quickly turns a warm patina and blends into the native vegetation, and ultimately requires very little maintenance. This panel system mimics a horizontal cedar fence for a modern look with an atypical material choice.

 

The sidelight at the ped gate has a gravity-based dropbox panel that we created to allow packages to gently slide into the yard but keeps them out of reach for those pesky porch bandits.  .

 

This phase also included a small amount of steel work and landscape installation to create gravel steps and a lawn for a place for dogs to play. Low-voltage landscape lighting subtly illuminates the gates and
